He took legal action against a major newspaper for calling him a wife-beater. If that’s not enough, there was an editorial written against him that accused him of physical abuse. He recently won the libel suit and has been trying to revive his career ever since.
In 2013, Johnny Depp spoke to the BBC and discussed his possible retirement. Although he didn’t have a specific date in mind, he seemed certain it would happen sooner rather than later. I wouldn’t say I’m giving up any second. But I would say it’s probably not too far, he said.
