The Red Bulls’ 2022 Formula 1 season has been as good as it gets. The team won the season by a huge margin on both fronts, driver and constructors. They were miles ahead of the competition, nothing went wrong this season as they solved the reliability issues in the starting races. But it was all going too well, then came the Brazilian GP, where Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez came to a crossroads, and then drama ensued on the team radio.

Comments were made by both drivers which showed a lack of trust and respect between the two. I already told you last summer, don’t ask me again. I gave my reasons, and I stand by them, said Max, possibly referring to problems at the Monaco Grand Prix. To this, Sergio Perez, who has contributed massively to the Maxs’ two championships, replied: It shows who he really is.

As quoted by Formula1.com, Horner said, I think the root cause of the problem was that we never considered being in a situation, being in the final laps, being sixth and seventh of this Grand Prix. And I think it was something that, because we hadn’t considered it, we hadn’t discussed it, before the race, and I think it was a mistake on our part, that we should have thought about or try to think through each scenario. .
Things between the drivers reportedly calmed down. Horner and Red Bull taking responsibility for the episode, they claimed the dynamic between the drivers was just fine.
