PENSACOLA, Fl. (WALA) – Darreyel Laster, 33, is on bail after being charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior.
The Escambia County School District confirmed Thursday that Laster had resigned as dean of Warrington College.
The arrest report says it started with a woman filing a report on January 5. She told deputies she received a text from the victim alleging that Laster gave her alcohol and marijuana, and that Laster offered her sex.
The report says the victim repeatedly told him no. But Laster kept asking.
At one point, Laster allegedly left two Four Lokos outside the victims’ window and texted him to check outside.
The report states that the victim even tried to tell Laster to stop texting him and blocked his number, but he allegedly continued to text her using different numbers.
As deputies met with the alleged victim, they convinced him to call Laster while they listened.
The report states that during this phone call, when offered for a sex act by the victim, Laster agreed.
Deputies say based on that call, text screenshots and affidavits, they felt they had enough to arrest him.
