Don Lemon Responds to Stephen Colbert’s Criticism of Tragic Hooded Outfit on CNN This Morning

Stephen Colbert had some harsh words to say about Don Lemons’ outfit on CNN This Morning. The late-night show host took to The Late Show to air his grievances about the cut of lemons he didn’t think was appropriate for the news programme.

Although Colbert said Lemon was a very dear friend and enjoyed watching him on CTM, the Strangers with Candy alum said he was surprised that Lemon wore a jacket over a top and a gray hooded pants.

I believe a great man once said: What is that? Colbert added. I know they want to add some comedy to CNN and it’s hilarious, but how do you report the news in that outfit? How to speak of tragedy while wearing that because what could be more tragic than that look he had this morning?

Colbert continued to poke fun at the LeMons outfit saying he looked like a high school athletic teacher who went for a run, then got a little hungry and stopped at a restaurant, but that was too much. nice of a restaurant and they said, sir, you have to wear a jacket. Then he stole a jacket from a Guys and Dolls extra.

Lemon addressed Colbert’s criticism on CNN’s morning show and said he liked Stephen Colbert and said he didn’t expect that reaction from him.

Lemon went on to say that he wore a variety of outfits on the morning show and when he took the job they asked him to be more comfortable. The TV reporter said people aren’t wearing as many suits and a lot has changed since the pandemic.
