“Paris Hilton is a perfect example of what closure can do for a person. She’s pretty awful, she doesn’t offer anything culturally, but she got this complete rebrand in part by rarely speaking,” the user wrote. Twitter.

“Now everyone is convinced that she works for her money (she presses play on Spotify playlists) when it’s not necessary (she’s been disinherited…publicly), and that’s a fashion icon (maybe for people who have never been out).”

They added in the Twitter thread: “To everyone who comes to tell me about her awful childhood, it’s so sad! She’s still a racist so I’m not sure what I’m supposed to say. I’m not a racist then please guys!”

Newsweek has contacted Hilton representatives for comment.

In 2007, a website called parisexposed.com published a series of media belonging to Hilton obtained from a storage locker she had once rented, but let her payments expire.

Some of the content posted to the site came from Hilton’s diaries, home videos and other personal information, as Buzzfeed reported this week.

One of the videos showed Hilton dancing with her sister Nicky to Notorious BIG’s “Hypnotize” at a house party. Hilton walks up to the camera and says, “We’re like two [n-words]!”

In another clip, she describes someone at the party saying, “F***** thug broke, poor b**** from, like, Compton. Public school b****.” She also calls a male friend a “f****” on several occasions.

The issue was discussed in mainstream media in 2007, including on CNN and The View.

A 2020 article by Jezebel also uncovered anti-Semitic comments made by Hilton when she changed the lyrics to Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family.”

Hilton sang, “I’m a big ugly jewish bitch / I’m a little jap-y jewish / I’m a little black bitch, I’m a fuck in the ass for coke / I’m a [n-word] and I’m black and I steal shit.”

A Daily Mail reporter also claimed to have seen footage of Hilton calling two black men “stupid”. [n-words]behind their backs when they approached her and her friend Brandon Davis in Paris. Author Mark Ebner appeared to confirm the anecdote in his 2009 book Six Degrees of Paris Hilton, but wrote that she said ” dirty” instead of “stupid”.

Davis eventually turned on his friend and told the National Enquirer that Hilton was “racist” and that “she always used the n-word. I told him not to use it. It was offensive. But she just laughed. , no longer an idiot.”

“Every black person she was referring to was a [n-word]”, he added. “She uses the word all the time, and I have known her all her life. His ‘[n-word] This and ‘[n-word] that.’ She is a disgrace. She’s a racist,” he told the Enquirer at the time.

“She also belittles Jews and other minorities. And I’m Jewish. I found that depressing. I finally had enough of her attitude six months ago, and I’m done with her. I don’t I don’t want anything to do with her. I don’t need anything from her. She’s not my friend anymore. She’s just not a nice person.”

Over the years, Hilton tried to refute the charges or blame alcohol and her age on her comments through her then-publicist Elliot Mintz.

“I’m not going to try to spin this. It happened. I’m not going to deny it happened. Each of us used words that we later regretted. That was six years ago. She was 20 at the time. . It was New Year’s Eve. She had obviously been drinking. She sincerely regrets using those words. She is neither racist nor anti-Semitic,” he said. in 2007.

As for the incident with Davis, Hilton said after the publication of Ebner’s book:

“I’m deeply hurt by the recent reports. Anyone who knows me knows that’s not me. I love everyone and I don’t discriminate against anyone, ever,” she said.

Celebrity profiler Neil Strauss also had a conversation with Hilton in 1999 when she allegedly told him she dumped a guy after realizing he was black.

In his book, Everybody Loves You When You’re Dead, Strauss claimed Hilton pointed to a man and said, “We were kissing, but then we went somewhere it was light and I saw that it was black and I found an excuse and left.

“I can’t stand black guys. I would never touch one. It’s disgusting. (pause) Does this guy look black to you?”

Strauss then said he asked her, “How black does a guy have to be?” To which Hilton reportedly replied, “one percent is enough for me.”

Another alleged incident of homophobic comments from Hilton came in 2012, when audio of the heiress was posted on RadarOnline.com.

She was reportedly unknowingly recorded riding in a taxi with a gay friend who was explaining the Grindr app to her and how he could easily find sex using it.

To which she replied, “Ewww. Eww. To fuck off *****? Gays are the horniest people in the world. They’re disgusting. Man, most of them probably have AIDS.”

A spokesperson for Hilton defended his comments to the media.

“Paris Hilton’s comments were intended to express that it is dangerous for anyone to have unprotected sex that could lead to life-threatening illness,” the spokesperson said in 2012.

“The conversation escalated after a close gay friend told him in a taxi the story of a gay man who has AIDS and knowingly has unprotected sex. He also talked about a site Web that encourages random sex between gay men and strangers.

“As he was shown the website, his comments referred to people promoting themselves on the site. The taxi driver who recorded this provided only part of the conversation. not her intention to make derogatory comments about all gay people. Paris Hilton is a big supporter of the gay community and would never deliberately make negative statements about anyone’s sexual orientation.”
