It’s been nearly a year since Miles Bridges last played in the NBA, and hell has to wait a little longer for his return to the Charlotte Hornets, according to The Athletics Shams Charania.
NBA suspends Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges for 30 games with 20 games considered served, sources say @TheAthletic @Stadium. Bridges will therefore serve 10 games of suspension for the start of the 2023-24 season.
Bridges was a restricted free agent last offseason and was expected to be one of the most expensive players in the league until he was charged with domestic violence and arrested days before he was handed a contract that will change his life.
Bridges was charged with three crimes, but pleaded not guilty at arraignment.
During this time Bridges remained a free agent and no one signed him.
In November, Bridges did not contest all of his charges and was sentenced to three years probation.
Now, after missing the 2022-23 season, Bridges is looking to return to the league with a new team and a new chapter once his 10-game suspension ends.
