Elon Musk has stepped in to defend Jimmy MrBeast Donaldson after the YouTube star came under fire for his latest charity video where he helped 1,000 deaf people hear again.

Over the past few years, MrBeast has taken over YouTube with its increasingly wild videos, as it has given fans and friends the opportunity to play it and win lots of money and prizes.

The charitable side of his videos is something he is increasingly tapping into, starting his charity Beast Philanthropy which uses the money earned from his other YouTube channels to be able to help others.

However, the YouTuber has come under fire for some of his charity-focused videos, with many claiming it’s not really charity if he makes it so public despite helping really worthwhile causes.

YouTubers latest charity video where he helps 1,000 deaf people with their hearing has been criticized because of the thumbnail.

That’s nice and all, but why does the Mr. Beasts thumbnail editor feel the need to have his hand clutching a child’s shoulder as he smiles ominously behind them??? asked a critic.

As this criticism spread a little more, Elon Musk even stepped in to defend the YouTube star. People should certainly not be attacked for doing good. Is it really a question of money to restore hearing? tweeted the Twitter owner.

I’m always looking for (for) ways to give money that are actually good. It may be one. It is very difficult to give money if you think it feels good, not just in appearance.

Fans of the YouTuber have also jumped in to defend him amid criticism, suggesting they don’t really make sense.

Jimmy himself didn’t say anything, but he did when his shoe supply video was criticized. So, we have to wait and see if he says something this time.
