Platell People: Sweet Parents are to blame for woke children who insist on being treated like cats and dogs.
By Amanda Platell for the Daily Mail 22:02 Jun 23, 2023, Updated 01:34 Jun 24, 2023
Of all the stories of wokery and self-identification, none has been so bizarre as that of children insisting on being treated by their teachers like cats, dogs, dinosaurs or other animals known as of furries.
This is so absurd, I thought it must be fake news until I read the Mails investigation which showed it was a real phenomenon.
In addition, teachers spoil these children. At Rye College in East Sussex, a teacher has chastised a pupil as despicable for refusing to accept another in his class being considered a cat.
It got to the point where the Department for Education weighed in, with a spokesperson saying: It is totally inappropriate for schools to treat a student like an animal or an inanimate object.
Yet the debate now raging over teachers allowing children to identify as animals overlooks, if you’ll pardon the pun, a very large elephant in the classroom.

That is, no child would enter a class identifying themselves as furry in the first place unless their parents or parents allow it. Mum or dad might not put the cat’s ears on the diddum’s head or attach the tail to his school uniform after all, some of those kids are teenagers. But parents engage in this ridiculous behavior when they should refuse to let their children go to school by locking them in their rooms if need be unless they are properly dressed.
Yes, woke teachers obsessed with trans and furry animals are to blame. But the real responsibility surely lies with the house.
Who knows why so many parents today capitulate to their children’s every whim? It may be due to family breakdown, the increase in the number of single-parent families, or too much time spent at work.
All I know is that we risk raising a generation of children who can do no wrong, who are celebrated, adored and encouraged in their every stupid quirk.
And that if this continues, none of them will be fit for employment in the outside world.
What happened to just saying no! ? Any kid who is allowed to identify as a dinosaur will have a hard time doing real work, unless they’re an extra in Jurassic Park.

On stage in Amsterdam, Beyonce proudly announced that each of her many outfits that night had been created exclusively by black designers to celebrate Juneteenth, a national holiday in the United States to commemorate the emancipation of African Americans reduced to slavery. Let’s hope the 12 seamstresses she hires to fix her costumes aren’t needled by the fact that she makes 7 million per show.

Why as a cricket fan do the words Womens Test cricket live on the BBC fill me with dread? This may be because, against Australia, the England ladies only play one five-day Test compared to the five-man test, their pitch is smaller, which facilitates limits and the star bowler Lauren Filers at nearly 80 mph the fastest ball is eclipsed by Mark Woods at 97.8 mph for the men’s team.
Maybe I should just relax and listen and watch the grass grow.
The sex and the beefy…
Sarah Jessica Parker in Just Like That
AndJust Like That, the reboot of the hit 90s series Sex And The City, starring Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie, should have been called Botox And The City or And Just Like That, I Called My Plastic Surgeon.
What a disappointing mishmash I found the first two episodes: full of woke tropes; women in their late 50s pretending to be in their 30s; unconvincing sex. Speaking of which, the opening scene, where Mirandas’ much taller non-binary partner Che, topless, makes love to her in a swimming pool, was like watching a hippo in love.
Westminster Wars
As rising interest rates hit millions with mortgages, Rishi Sunak says, “It’ll be fine, we’ll get through this. I’m 100% on it. The highest rates in 15 years and he only has a few months to deliver? We can expect a forced repossession of number 10 in the next election. last December’s review called for the abolition of the Lords. Just as Keir himself once asked. Commons Leader Penny Mordaunt was among those who voted in favor of Boris’ defenestration and the verdict of the Privileges Committee. She may still need that coronation sword to protect her from her constituents.
A touching moment this morning today with a tribute to George Michael ahead of what would have been his 60th birthday. He anonymously gave 50,000 to a woman he saw on the show who was struggling to afford IVF. She was back with her daughter Betsey, now 11. All the more poignant considering George was famous for helping strangers privately, but couldn’t save himself.
Not wanting to get dirty in Glasto with the regular kids, Cruz Beckham, who just turned 18 and is launching his own music career, chooses to stay in the Winnebago area with his girlfriend Tana, where plots cost 20,000. Good luck, Cruz. I hope you didn’t inherit your mother’s Posh singing talent.
Many giggles, as a survey reveals, were such creatures of habit that we even have our favorite gas ring on the stove and watch the same movies over and over. But there is also snobbery here. No one chuckles when I tell them I’ve re-read The Great Gatsby or Pride And Prejudice. But if we repeated-watching films, it was the plebs.

RMT boss Mick Lynch defends his railway unions’ decision to strike in the first week of the summer school holidays, causing havoc for people overseas unable to fly and dependent on trains for their stays. What’s the bet the Lynchs crowd have already booked their holiday flights, happy to leave low-income families in the misery of the train?
Spotify insiders have revealed Harry’s suggested ideas for new projects, including the interview with Vladimir Putin and Pope Francis. He blamed the media for portraying him as thick, but he’s good at it himself.
Look at reality, Kelly
A bit rich of Kelly Osbourne to call Harry a whiny, plaintive pain in the ass and the privileged prince of a goddamn country when she herself is the privileged princess of famous royalty only on the backs of mum and dad and their reality show The Osbournes.

“The Sin” of the Sussexes
Celebrating 75 years of the Windrush generations’ contribution to Britain, Sir Trevor Phillips says the Sussexes have wasted a golden opportunity to show everyone what this country is really like when it comes to race.
The equality campaigner said they constructed a ridiculous story about their abuse, adding: In my book, it’s a sin.
Given that Harry and Meghan’s popularity is at an all-time high in the UK and US, it’s a view shared by millions.
