(WPIX) Manhattan Shake Shack restaurant manager sues New York, NYPD agents and police unions.
This is throughout an incident last summer in which the restaurant was falsely accused of splashing officers with bleach.
Three agents ordered milkshakes through a Shake Shack mobile app.
According to court documents, officers threw them out when they did not taste good and informed the manager.
He gave the officers vouchers for free food and milkshakes, which they accepted.
Police officers fell ill and police unions sent tweets indicating that the police had been intentionally poisoned.
The tweets have been shared and liked thousands of times.
According to a tweet from a detective, the NYPD investigated and determined that Shake Shack employees had done nothing criminal.
Investigators believe that a cleaning solution was not completely removed from the milkshake machine and may have entered officers’ drinks.
The manager is suing, alleging that he was falsely arrested, suffered emotional and psychological damage and damaged his reputation.
