New Delhi: After meeting with the congressional leadership in Delhi, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Sunday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) used to blame others for the number of vaccinations.

“One example is the recent cabinet reshuffle. The vaccines and the lockdown were handled by Modi himself. When the vaccination came under criticism, he blamed Harsh Vardhan and he was therefore fired,” Baghel said.

Baghel added that Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat vaccination figures are false and BJP members cannot question their leaders.

“We have administered over 87 lakh of COVID-19 vaccine (first dose). The vaccination in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat is bogus. BJP members cannot question their leaders as they will be called traitors. None of their 9 MPs are not. ‘had the opportunity to do so. Cabinet of the Union, “he said.

In total, more than 1.04 crore of COVID 19 vaccines have been administered to people of all categories in Chhattisgarh through Friday.

On Saturday, Chhattisgarh reported 359 new positive Covid-19 cases and three deaths, bringing the number of infections to 9 97,785 and the toll to 13,475, a health official said.

The number of healings reached 9 79,448 after a total of 251 people were discharged from various hospitals on Saturday while 236 others completed their home isolation during the day. Chhattisgarh now finds itself with 4,862 active cases, the official said.

Meanwhile, Baghel’s meeting with the Congressional high command in the nation’s capital today follows discussions about the potential change of leadership in the state, sources said.

“The high command asked me to take the oath (as chief minister), so I took the oath. When they say someone else will be the chief minister, then it will be. such agreements occur in a coalition government, ”CM said after the meeting.
