Prince William does not respond to allegations of racism within the royal family, say Meghan fans

Meghan Markle fans have reportedly accused Prince William of failing to respond to allegations of racism in his own family after his statement of support for black players.

The Duke of Cambridge, who is president of the Football Association, issued a harsh statement on Twitter after black players Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka were subjected to vile racist attacks on social media.

Many royal fans have welcomed his public statement, those who are fiercely loyal to the Duchess of Sussex have used the row to pick up on the storm of racism that engulfed the Royal Family earlier this year.

While condemning the ‘sickening’ abuse suffered by three England players after the Euro 2020 final, some said William failed to respond adequately to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s claims that the color of Their son’s skin had been a problem for an anonymous Firm member, who they said made racist comments about the baby before he was born.

Days after their allegations aired, William said “we really are not a racist family” when questioned by a reporter.

But some fans clearly believe he should have gone further to publicly show solidarity with Meghan and Harry, a year after the couple stepped down from their senior royal roles.
