Dhawan 10th Indian to bypass 6000 ODI runs

Shikhar Dhawan became the tenth Indian cricket to complete the 6,000-run landmark in one-day international competitions against Sri Lanka in the first match in Colombo on Sunday.

In Sri Lanka, India-leading Dhawan achieved an achievement in an unbeatable 86 innings at R Premdasa Stadium, helping guests record a weighty seven-gate win of 13.2.

Other Indians who have passed 6,000 runs in the ODI include the legendary Sachin Tendulkar (18426 runs), Virat Kohli (12169 runs), former skippers Sourav Ganguly (11221 runs), Rahul Dravid (10768 runs), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (10599) ) and Mohammed Azharuddin (9378 runs).

Opening ceremonies Rohit Sharma (9205 runs), Yuvraj Singh (8609 runs) and Virender Sehwag (7995 runs) are other Indians who have passed the 6,000 run landmark in 50 cricket.

Dhawan, who registered his 33rd ODI fifty, achieved an achievement at 143rd ODI.
