GameStop, Pfizer, Stitch Fix, SentinelOne: What To Watch In The Stock Market Today

Equity futures are rising after Tuesday’s rally on Wall Street amid optimism that Omicron will not be the disaster some had feared. Here’s what was looked at in trading on Wednesday:

  • GameStop GME 6.40%

    must report earnings after the closing bell. The relative stability of the stock was a surprising turn of events for GameStop, a company widely credited with fueling the stock meme mania that has gripped the markets this year.

  • Covid-19 vaccine makers had a mixed performance ahead of opening. Novavax NVAX 28.89%

    loss 4.8% and Moderna MRNA 6.41%

    stocks made up for previous losses, rising 0.5%. Pfizer and BioNTech said a third dose of their Covid-19 vaccine neutralized the Omicron variant in lab tests, but the two-dose regimen was significantly less effective at blocking the virus.

    won 3.1% premarket. After Tuesday’s close, the trading app provider filed a request to terminate its registration statement for the resale of shares of certain shareholders. The company noted that this would not change the number of shares available for sale.

  • Travel stocks rose. Cruise operator Carnival CCL -0.48%

    1.6% added, hotel chain Marriott International MAR -0.11%

    gained 0.9% and United Airlines rose 1.4%.

  • Cyber ​​Security Company SentinelOne S 13.40%

    fell 9.9% premarket after reporting a loss for the recent quarter.

  • Luxury home builder Toll Brothers TOL 0.55%

    gained 1.9% premarket after it said fourth-quarter earnings nearly doubled as sales rose, beating analysts’ expectations.

  • Stitch Fix SFIX 4.61%

    25% down. The online clothing retailers posted a quarterly loss due to a tax benefit they booked in the previous period.

  • Thor Industries -3.21%

    increased by 3.2%. Recreational vehicle makers’ profits rose in the recent quarter, driven by higher sales, as demand remains strong.

  • Solo Brands DTC 6.74%

    rose 2.4% premarket after the Solo Stove mother reported quarterly sales that beat forecasts and exceeded expectations for the full year.

  • AeroVironment AVAV -27.48%

    fell 1.1%. The robotic systems company lowered its fiscal 2022 guidelines, citing several issues, including supply chain delays.
