LeBron James’ legacy off the court has grown exponentially as his basketball career has continued. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar continues to give back to his community, with his most notable act being his I Promise School, which he worked with Akron Public Schools to open. His latest job comes with a new Lakers business partner.
The LeBron James Family Foundation announced that it has partnered with Crypto.com to help provide educational and job training resources. The Lakers All-Star said he hopes to use blockchain technology to provide more opportunities and improve his community.

According to Craig Webb of the Akron Beacon Journal, James seeks to focus on “our digital future” as his foundation works with Crypto.com
“It’s amazing how many doors we’ve been able to open for my I Promise students and their families through the work we do with our partners and what we’re building with House Three Thirty,” James told The Beacon Journal via a spokesperson. “It’s important to me that we continue to open those doors, especially when it comes to Web3 and our digital future.
“I’m still learning as everything continues to evolve, and now with Crypto.com, I want to make sure my kids and family are a part of it, too.”
This venture is Crypto.com’s latest partnership with the NBA after taking over naming rights to the Lakers stadium, changing Staples Center to Crypto.com Arena and becoming the jersey sponsor of the Philadelphia 76ers.
