If Donald Trump doesn’t run in 2024, Arizona Republicans want Ron DeSantis

Gov. Ron DeSantis continues to shine in the polls of potential Presidential candidates in 2024, with a survey in Arizona showing him as the leader if Donald Trump does not run for re-election.

An online survey of 252 Republican likely voters conducted Nov. 1–8 by OH Predictive Insights showed that DeSantis has more traction than any other potential candidate with Trump on the field, but more good without him.

Six out of ten Republicans polled want Trump to run again, and that desire translates into support. Against a tight field of hopefuls, Trump was chosen by 48%, with DeSantis at 16%.

The Governor is the only candidate in the double digits. Former Vice President Mike Pence, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, U.S. Sens. Ted Cruz, Mitt Romney, and Marco Rubio, US Rep. Liz Cheney, and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie were all caught hard.

Pence and Haley, at 9% and 6%, ran third and fourth; Rubio is a late thinker, with 2% support.

Can integration around DeSantis be supported?

“In a fractured Primary field, it’s easy to see how Donald Trump will get away with the nomination in 2024,” said data analyst Jacob Joss. “However, despite Trump achieving 48% of Republicans support, what pro-Trump Republicans should be most concerned about-and anti-Trump Republicans should expect most-is the rest 52% of GOP voters are united around a non-Trump candidate. ”

Without Trump, DeSantis is the top choice among Arizona Republicans, with only Pence close. DeSantis has 29% support, eight points ahead of Pence and 19 ahead of Cruz. Some polls show that Pence is ahead of DeSantis, but this Arizona survey tracks the majority of surveys in favor of the Governor of Florida.

Rubio is still at 2% without Trump in the Arizona poll, further emphasizing the seeming fact that there is a ticket to Republican Primary for current Florida politicians, and that ticket is likely to be owned. owner of DeSantis.

DeSantis continues to say he has no interest in running for President, even though he is campaigning to the contrary.
