Donald Trump asked why authorities did not catch the suspected pipe bomber on Jan. 5 in Washington DC, while suggesting that others who are not his supporters should be held accountable for the insurgency violence.

Speaking to Candace Owens for The Daily Wire, Trump reiterated his earlier statements that the real uprising did not happen in the Capitol on Jan. 6, but on Election Day in November 2020 as he continued to push for his false statements that the last election was rigged against him. .

Owens began the interview by asking Trump why the man accused of planting two pipe bombs near the Republican National Committee Headquarters and Democratic National Committee Headquarters in the Capitol Hill neighborhood a day before the DC protests was not caught after of 11 months, despite substantial video evidence tracking the suspect’s movements that night.

Trump responded by saying the hundreds of people arrested in connection with the Capitol attack had been “treated unfairly” while suggesting that the “other side” was not facing a similar investigation.

He and Owens then discussed a conspiracy theory that FBI informants helped persuade Trump supporters to raid the Capitol that day.

The former president also reiterated a conspiracy theory that left -wing Black Lives Matter and antifa protesters were “spitting” on violence at the Capitol on Jan. 6.

“This pipe bomber, who knows what that is, they didn’t find him?

“I saw pictures of him and very clear pictures, and you know they have cameras, not just one camera, they have a lot of cameras in every corner. [in D.C]. And I would think they probably knew who he was and I guarantee he wasn’t one of the people in that protest.

D’Antuono, assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office, said the agency conducted more than 800 interviews, collected more than 23,000 video files, and assessed more than 300 tips related to pipe bomb investigation. , but still identify the suspect or determine the motive.

D’Antuono suggested that one of the main reasons why a suspect is still not incarcerated is because they are being guarded by accomplices.
