Chris Noth accused of sexual assault by a third woman

A third woman accused Chris Noth of sexual assault over an alleged incident in 2010.

The new accusation, on Friday 17 December, came a day after two women accused the Sex and the City actor of rape – allegations he has denied.

In a report published by The Daily Beast, a woman who wished to remain anonymous but used the pseudonym, Ava, alleged that the actor sexually assaulted her while she was working in a New York restaurant in 2010.

The actor denied the claim, with his representative stating, “The story is completely fabricated, and the alleged accounts detailed throughout read like a piece of bad fiction. As Chris said yesterday, he crossed that line and will never cross that line.”

Ava claimed that at the end of one of her shifts, Nuth followed her into her manager’s empty office and pressed her body against a desk, kissing her and digitally hacking her. She was 18 years old at the time of the alleged accident.

“At first, I felt like I was the only person in the universe who could hear me say ‘no,'” she said. “I was very hopeful that it would be the end of it.”

She said she tried to push him with her arms and body, adding, “My limbs hurt in the morning.”

The other two women who accused Nuth of sexual assault claimed that they were raped by the actor in 2004 and 2015 respectively.

Noth told The Independent in response to the allegations: “The accusations made against me by individuals I’ve interviewed for years, even decades, are categorically false. These stories could have been 30 years or 30 days ago – doesn’t always mean no – that’s the line that I didn’t get over it.

“The encounters were consensual. It’s hard not to question the timing of these stories being published. I don’t know for sure why they’re showing up now, but I know this: I didn’t assault these women.”

Noth was brought down by his talent agent after the initial allegations surfaced.
