Football will complete the first fall fight

YPSILANTI, me. (EMUEagles.com) With no clouds in the sky and the sun shining brightly, the University of Eastern Michigan football team returned to Rynearson Stadium today, August 14, for the first team fight in the fall 2021 campaign.

Units hacked into the offensive and defensive fields collided with a full-scale incident involving certified NCAA officials and several live game-style series. Once changes had been made, such as making all quarterback connections illegal and eliminating the use of certain types of blocks, teams competed for most of the training time allocated. The units of the Eagles special teams also saw a lot of activity, mostly between live game series.

Assistant Head Coach and Defense Coordinator Neal Neathery, speaking after the rush, noticed the hunger of his unit’s impressive repentance.

“These guys work hard. They work hard in the field, spend a lot of time watching movies, and are eager to heal,” Neathery pointed out. “From that perspective, I think this group is excellent.”

Neathery’s defense was the eighth-year head coach today Chris Creighton, who took on the play’s inviting role in the EMU crime during the 2020 season. He talked about the overall improvement of his team, especially in the quarterback room.

“We’re better than we were,” Creighton said. “They all (defenders) got to play today, which is good. We’ll meet here a few hours after going through the film and see if they’ve done the right checks and done the right plays and all that, but we’re better than last year and we’re excited about it. “

While both coaches noted the concentration and improvements still expected in the coming weeks, there was no doubt that the energy was high and that the players were excited to play game-like football today at The Factory.
