KOHLER, Wis. West Salem High School boys ’tennis player, junior Jack Hehli finished sixth in the WIAA Division 2 individual state doubles tournaments that ended Saturday at Sports Core in Kohler, Wis.
Hehli, who was the seventh seed in the doubles tournament, advanced to fifth place by beating Max Watchmaker, the third seed at Milwaukee University School, by default on Saturday.
Hehli then met Milwaukee Pius XI’s Andrew Larson, the tournament’s fourth seed, in fifth place in the match, but lost in straight series 6-2, 6-3.
Aquinas seniors Garrett Butler and Seth Capelli competed for fifth place in the Division 2 doubles tournament, but they lost third-seed Chase Korb and Nate Carson from the Waukesha Catholic Memorial 6-2, 6-1 in their first match on Saturday.
Hehli ends the season with a record 26-2, while Butler and Capelli finish 18-2.
