UK, Spain, UAE: Countries That Relaxed Travel Restrictions For Indians | Latest India News

[ad_1]

Following diplomatic pressure, several countries have now relaxed travel restrictions for passengers arriving from India. This week, the UK, UAE and Spain relaxed their international travel rules for Indians and people traveling from India. While these relaxations do not mean that all Indians can fly to these destinations, some Indians will be permitted to travel.

The UK has moved India from the “red” to “amber” list, meaning fully vaccinated Indians will not have to be quarantined for 10 days. But before traveling to the UK, those who are vaccinated will also need to be tested – three days before their intended travel date, and then no later than the second day after reaching the destination.

As of now, Covaxin and Covishield are not recognized by the British government. So how do you get India from the Red List to the Amber List? Unvaccinated Indians will have to quarantine themselves for 10 days. They will need to take a Covid-19 test on or before day 2 and then again on or after day 8.

Etihad to resume flights from 5 Indian cities from August 7

India was on the UK’s Red List, according to which no Indian was allowed to visit the UK directly from India. Now Indians are allowed in the UK, but Indians may not get a waiver for those vaccinated because the UK has not recognized Covaxin, Covishield and Sputnik V.

The change will be effective from August 8.

Spain has opened the doors to fully vaccinated Indians. Covishield is a vaccine recognized in Spain. Indian travelers must have a Schengen visa or apply for a Spanish visa, according to the new notice. Only the Delhi center for processing visa applications opened.

The UAE has allowed people to travel from India, but they must fall into specific categories, identified by UAE authorities. UAE residents, students and professionals working for UAE government agencies are allowed to return to UAE from India. Passengers in transit with negative RT-PCR reports are also allowed to travel from India. Following the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in India, the United Arab Emirates has banned all flights from India. He even banned UAE residents stranded in India from returning because only diplomats were allowed to fly.
